Heart of Hero

St. Francis Reflections is proud to announce that we have five staff members who were honored at the 2022 Brevard Heart Foundation’s Heart of a Hero Awards in April. The Heart of a Hero Award celebrates individuals who are making a difference through healthcare in our community. These healthcare professionals were selected by the organization for their compassion and excellence. Folded Hearts – Faithful Hands

Veterans, under the care of St. Francis Reflections Lifestage Care, are asked if they would like a pinning ceremony in honor of their service. This ceremony expresses our gratitude for their service and they are provided with a special pin, a hat, and an American flag that was flown over our nation’s capital. We received 100 American flags destine to honor these special Veterans boxed and unfolded. Hot Dog!

The 2nd annual Pets in the Park unleased the power of the puppy. Art sketches of furry buddies, strollers full of happy wags and a lure course that wore the paws off a few were part of the afternoon fun. A blessing was offered for each pet. The music was sweet. Dual watering stations for both two, and four legged attendees was refreshing. Each booth provided information and education about how we can best care for our animals. Hope, Love, and Butterfly Kisses

On May 21st the NorthStar Child Grief Program hosted its first memorial service at Rockledge Gardens. 32 NorthStar children and their families joined together to honor the memory of their lost loved ones. Each child brought their loved one’s photos to create memory jars that were placed in the Butterfly Garden during the ceremony as their names were read aloud. Stones were painted with the intention of taking them home and finding a special place for them.
