Support How “We Honor Veterans”
There are few honors privileges greater than honoring someone who has served our country. If you are as passionate about Veterans as we are, join us in supporting the Veterans in our community by sponsoring a pinning ceremony and providing a Capitol flag to a deserving Veteran. Show your appreciation to those who served in the military of our great Nation.
Veterans on Hospice of St. Francis Reflections hospice service are offered the opportunity to share the story of their military experience with a Veteran volunteer. Their story is compiled along with additional background research of the time they served to create a special tribute. The volunteer presents this at a personalized pinning ceremony for the Veteran, their family and friends. The families learn things about their loved one’s time in the service that they may have not known before. The Veterans are presented with special recognition items specific to their branch of service.
St. Francis Reflections LIfestage Careis a proud Level 5 partner of We Honor Veterans, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), focused on respectful inquiry, compassionate listening and grateful acknowledgment.
