We recognizing the unique needs of America’s Veterans and their families. Our team works mindfully to determine how to assess, guide, and serve Veterans toward a more peaceful conclusion to their legacy.  Veterans on St. Francis’ service are offered the opportunity to tell the story of their military experience and volunteers research that history. If requested, a special pinning ceremony is provided for the Veteran, their family, and friends.  Families usually learn facts about their loved one’s time in the service that they never knew before.  These very special tributes are performed by our retired military volunteers.  The Veterans are presented with special recognition items specific to their branch of service.

We Honor Veterans is a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), focused on respectful inquiry, compassionate listening, and grateful acknowledgment. As a Level V Partner in this distinguished program, St. Francis Reflections Lifestage Care is required to provide our employees and volunteers with continuous education on identifying and planning specialized care for the needs of our nation’s heroes.  We work with many Veterans’ organizations in our community who provide assistance and support in acquiring potential benefits and a variety of other resources that may be available to the individual and his/her family.  If there is an issue, we do our very best to obtain a resource that can create a solution.  St. Francis has been able to develop integrity based relationships with many of the great Veteran Organizations within Brevard County to best serve Brevard County’s Veterans and their loved ones.

It is always wonderful when we can be affirmed by our recertification, but more importantly is our certified love of Veterans throughout Brevard. Heroes to the end.
