It is an honor and privilege to introduce Heart of Hospice honoree, Christine Tate.
Christine has provided compassionate care at EOL with the SFR team for almost 13 years. She has served our patients and their families both as an admissions nurse and, in the past year, as our Veteran Outreach Coordinator. Christine embodies the mission of St. Francis Reflections and she passionately approaches her role, not just as a job, but as her true calling.
Christine brings recognition to our Veterans at EOL for their extraordinary sacrifice and service to this Country, through our Veterans Pinning Ceremonies. These provide our Veterans the honor they deserve, while leaving their families with memories they can treasure and appreciate long after their loved ones pass. With adaptability gained through her years as a hospice admissions nurse, she is able to honor our Veterans wherever they are; in homes, facilities, inpatient units, hospitals and even ICUs.
Christine’s service goes beyond our team at St. Francis. She is a Veteran of the Air Force herself, and she dedicates time and energy to serving all of the Veterans in our community. She participates in multiple initiatives, including the Space Coast Honor Flight, Wreaths Across America and Feeding the Homeless. Her integrity, dedication, knowledge, compassion and work ethic drive her to support all those in need.
Christine embodies the core values of St. Francis. She implements them in her work and personal life as a sister, a daughter, a mother and a friend. She takes pride in meeting the needs of others, while ensuring that the value of their service is recognized. She takes the “We Honor Veterans Program” here at St. Francis to the next level, and the impact of her life in our community is profound.
Christine, Thank you for your service to our Country, our organization and our community. You truly embody the heart of hospice.
Please join us in congratulating Christine Tate, 2022 Heart of Hospice Recipient.
