The 2nd annual Pets in the Park unleased the power of the puppy. Art sketches of furry buddies, strollers full of happy wags and a lure course that wore the paws off a few were part of the afternoon fun. A blessing was offered for each pet. The music was sweet. Dual watering stations for both two, and four legged attendees was refreshing. Each booth provided information and education about how we can best care for our animals.

St. Francis Reflections makes a pledge to our patients that we will help find a forever home for their cats or dogs when they can no longer care for them. It was wonderful to see the people who were willing to either rehome one of these special pets, or give them a foster home.

Our Pet Pledge and Pet Therapy programs bring such joy, reassurance and comfort to our patients. This event raises awareness of our commitment to support the deep bond between our patients and their pets, and to bring the joy of pets to those who no longer have one.  We are so grateful for the way our community, and the animal rescue community, supports us in this mission.

St. Francis Reflections, the event sponsor Pet Pros Rockledge, our Pet Pledge Community Partners including SPCA of Brevard, H.A.L.O Rescue, Brevard Humane Society, Pawsitive Training Academy, Aloha Pet & Bird Hospital and Brevard County Animal Care Center came together on May Day at Cocoa Village River Front Park to celebrate how our furry friends make life better.  And many went home with a tail to tell.
